Comments, Please!!

Okay, this a blatant call for your comments on a story I just had published in my hometown newspaper, the Stillwater NewsPress.  I am working on pitching a regular column to them, and would love for this story to generate interest so they will consider giving me a shot.  This is the newspaper I delivered as a kid - I spent hundreds of hours biking around the neighborhood, delivering thousands of papers.  Ah, the memories!

Anywhoo, the link to the article is to the right - entitled Memories Made at the Ice Cream Shop (I had to re-write it and take all references to Braum's out of it, as they couldn't print it as originally written - it would have been construed as advertising for Braum's).  The re-write was painful - I felt it lost a bit of the original sentiment - but it's done and in print, so I won't complain.  Too much.

The term nepotism comes to mind, but that only applies to family members, right?   

And for family members - nepotism is okay in certain situations.  Like in situations when a family member, whom you dearly love (or at least like a little bit), asks you to leave a comment on an article.
