Kirsten was in the Musical HONK, Jr., put on by the Sandy Arts Guild. She was actually in the same musical in Flower Mound at McKamy, & in many ways, I thought McKamy did a better job. Most of this had to do with the age of the cast members; at McKamy, they were all in middle school; here, they ranged in age from 6 to 16. Another issue I had was that there was definitely some nepotism going on; a few of the starring roles were given to children of directors & producers. When I watched the show, it was crystal clear that it should have been cast differently. But despite all that, it was a great expereince for Kirsten to be involved in a more professional production, & she honestly did a fantastic job. She really shone on stage - upstaged most other cast members, to be sure -and we're proud of her for all her hard work. I'm not a "stage mom," - honestly - but I fully admit to bragging.Thursday, March 19, 2009

I can't believe how much Kirsten looks like you in the middle picture. Beautiful. So glad she could be in the play : ).
