I've Officially Been Published!

About a year ago I decided to buckle down and be serious about writing and trying my hand at getting my work published - something I've been wanting to do for years.  The process is slow and frustrating, having been frequently interrupted this past year by periods of extreme stress in my life - which has either served to accelerate or completely debunk the writing process for me.

I've have moderate success.  The Ensign has accepted - and paid for - one of my articles.  Wasatch Woman has accepted two of them.  All good stuff.  Until yesterday, however, I had yet to see anything in print.  So I'm happy and even a bit proud to announce that my first official article has been published on something other than this blog!

Click HERE to read the article!  I wrote it about six months after we had moved here - it explores the emotional ins and outs of a big move.

As you know, there is currently a For Sale sign in our yard.  The irony of when this particular article ended up being published is not lost on me.

P.S.  There is a comment section below my article.  Feel free to leave a glowing comment or two - perhaps you can be instrumental in furthering my career!  No pressure, though.  Really.

Congrats! I remember this when you wrote it on your blog. It made me cry then, and it brings tears to my eyes again. I think of how I felt leaving Texas and all the phenomenal women and friend and I had made. All the amazing people who touched and changed our families lives for good. I never would have imagined that I could have as many good friends as I have now. I had not realized that we were moving closer to an old roommate of Drew's whose wife I had appreciated and admired then and who is a dear friend and sister now. See how much your writing inspires me. Sorry to go on. You are amazing Susie!
