I read this book about 10 years ago, & then re-read it for a book club recently. I am a huge Wallace Stegnar fan -- he is a smart, brilliant author. This novel examines marriage relationships through the lives of two couples who remain best friends for several decades. Excellent, excellent book. Now I need to re-read Stegnar's "Angle of Repose."
